Job Description
Career transition opportunity to transfer your Oil and Gas knowledge to the Risk & Insurance Sector.
Our client is the world's leading Risk Management and Insurance Broker. Their risk team comprises Risk Engineers who joined from the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Construction, and Power sectors. Chemical, Civil, Process, Electrical, Mechanical and Operations Engineers by education and experience, our client trains you to apply your knowledge to Risk Engineering.
Owing to continuing growth, there is an opportunity for an OIM to join our client as an Upstream Risk Engineer based in Abu Dhabi.
Leveraging your experience within the oil and gas industry, the key responsibility of the Risk Engineer is to conduct Risk Survey's at clients sites and compile a detailed Risk Report of the facility, safety and management systems etc. It is a client facing role, involving meetings with relevant client engineers and senior management during surveys, and presenting survey findings as part of brokering and risk mitigation services. Typically 60-90 days per year are spent on client sites, the rest of the time is office / hybrid based compiling your report.
We have been helping our client to recruit their Risk Engineers for over 10 years. Those people we have helped have told us they particularly enjoy the variety of the work, getting to see the different ways different companies do things, and seeing a variety of project / facility types rather than spending years on the same facility.
Upstream offshore experience is essential; experience as an OIM would be of particular interest.
Packages are competitive and tax free with excellent benefits.
